Fluent OEM and Reseller Licensing API

The OEM and Reseller Licensing API lets OEMs and resellers manage a pool of Fluent licenses on their own. Your organization can:

  • Check availability. See how many Engine and Designer licenses are allowed and how many are in use.
  • Assign licenses. Check out one or more licenses for a new client (by customerName) or an existing client (by clientId). Each assignment produces a subscription with a license key.
  • List assignments. View checked-out licenses with their client, license key, created date, and last used date. Filter by licenseType or clientId.
  • Return licenses. Return a single assignment, or all assignments for a client. Returned keys stop working immediately and the license goes back into the pool.

Requests are authenticated with an API key sent in the X-API-Key header.

Assignment behavior
  • If no licenses are available for the requested type, an assignment request fails with 409.
  • A bulk assignment (quantity greater than 1) is all or nothing. If there are not enough licenses for the whole request, none are assigned.
